Unwrapping & Winding up things.

So far the modeling part has came decent enough to represent the Chennai buildings, especially the Santhome High road to beach road to Parry corner, 80% of the building modeling works are successfully completed. I should Thank FIFA 2011, now its like being alone the whole day and my only entertainment and break from work is FIFA 2011, I play as Real Madrid often and scoring goals with Cristiano Ronaldo & Kaka' makes me so happy and puts be back to work agian with a refreshment. I never thought I would finish the modeling job at this speed, I am really amazed, becoz, when I got so low refference images, its a time consuming process to make things look so real, and I have decently managed it here. Even though few mistake are there, but it look the Chennai way here. Check yourself guys....

Absolute homes hotel, this was a easy task, I completed the model in an hour, and the unwrapping and texturing took some time, I couldn't use the Texture from the reference image, so I goggled a lot, then I made my own texture, and have managed to match it.


Finally figured out a way for alpha mapping, it was really been a headache, when ever I save the photoshop file with alpha map, as a targa format, and when I check it in Maya, the whole model will render like a see through...just the transperancy applied every where, then I learnt a old method to clear this problem. Anyway got to check with my teammate, whether this works in Cryengine.


Todays update I am working on unwrapping the buildings, once its done, I got few more building to go on, then I am done with the Iconic buildings, my next job from then would be modling the far away lowpoly buildings, Lights,busstops, Statue's on Marina, then finally the car. Ah, I have modeled a Camero old version, I used max. I followed lots of tutorial to do that.
